Every day at Grange is a busy one! We ask that the children do not arrive before 8:50am (when the teacher on duty will be on the playgrounds) unless they have a morning club. In the case of inclement weather, the children will be admitted straight into the building. Doors are closed at 9.00am for security reasons. If your child arrives at school after 9.00am they need to report to the school office.

The register closes at 9.10am. A child will be recorded as late on the register if they are not in class when their name is called. No show letters are sent to the school office and a text sent to parents if no message has been received. During break times, the infant children are provided with a fruit or vegetable snack. The middle and upper unit have the opportunity to purchase healthy snacks from our Grange Tuck Shop which is run by our pupils.

If your child goes home for lunch, please be aware that they are not to arrive back at school before 1pm as we cannot take responsibility for them before this. Please see the timetable below for a breakdown of school timings.

Many of our children attend extra-curricular activities so we ask for you for support in ensuring that they have the correct equipment that they need.

The hours spent on teaching during a normal week, excluding assembly, registration and breaks, is approximately 21 hours at Key Stage 1 and 23 hours at Key Stage 2.

Alphabet House provides care for children before or after school on Grange premises. For more information, please contact 0115 9734442 or open the tab “About Us” and click on Wrap Around Care.
